Choose from the following collectables, gifts and decor items ...

Masks are a visual expression of the spirit world and are often imbued with magical powers, as well as being used for a variety of roles within the context of culture and ritual, from fertility to funeral rites. Our framed African masks make very unusual decor items and are available in many different shapes, sizes and style, each representing a particular aspect of African tribal life.

Features handcarved animals made from a variety of woods such as ebony, mahogany, ironwood, makwa and other African woods. Rhino, hippo, elephants, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, and more.

Africa is rich in its cultural and traditional heritage. On these pages you will find excellent examples of traditional beadwork, unusual African handicrafts, fertility dolls, fetishes, wooden carvings, and unique ornamental pieces.

The vibrant medium of Wireart was born in the rural areas of South Africa. Young herdboys, due to a lack of money to buy proper toys, fashioned their own out of discarded coathanger wire, tin cans and whatever else they could get their hands on. Before long, older inhabitants recognised the uniqueness and marketability of these wire toys and began making their own wire creations, selling them to tourists and visitors to the region. Today, this genre is a thriving and legitimate art-form in its own right.

Choose from our many excellent quality soapstone sculptures.  Shona soapstone sculpture styles cover a wide range of objects. Many are abstract forms representing family members, ancestral spirits, or animals.

These artefacts deserve to be boldly framed  - to stand out and be noticed. Fashionable must-haves! Many are once-off, collector's  items and Limited Editions.

Gecko Gallery offers a corporate framing service to both South African and overseas clients.
